ABOUT TEENS ACT
We work to improve graduation rates and outcomes for students and families, and to address the dropout challenge facing our students. We seek to improve the educational success of students, assist them to graduate and address the dropout challenge facing our communities through an educational “triple focus”:
We focus on students who are struggling academically (a GPA of 2.5 and less) who are first-generation college-bound, and are from low-income environments (qualify for free and/or reduced lunch). Using our educational triple focus with a specialized curriculum, mentor support and other practices and methods such as motivational speakers, campus tours, and third-party partnerships with colleges and universities, community businesses and community partner organizations we ensure that participants in our program have the best possible chance to succeed.
- Student Success (an elective class taken during school along with group and individual student support)
- Parent Support Program
