Amy Soto
Board Secretary - Program Committee Chair
BYU Academic and Career Advisor
Amy Soto is from Oxnard, California. After serving a mission in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she graduated from BYU with a bachelor’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Development. Following graduation, Amy worked at UVU’s Upward Bound TRIO program and Utah Valley Paratransit. She has a master’s degree in Academic Advising from Kansas State University. Most recently, she worked at BYU’s Bachelor of General Studies Program as an Academic and Admissions Advisor.
Amy joined the University Advisement Center staff in 2017. She enjoys working with students that are exploring their major and career options. She is sensitive to the time and effort that is required to seek out a life path because, as an undergraduate student, she spent time struggling to pinpoint what she wanted to do. She understands what it is like to explore major options and now finds great joy helping students do the same.
