Mentors are individuals who can assist in mentoring and tutoring students. If you are a skilled teacher and communicator or are a strong leader with a passion for helping teenagers succeed, then being a mentor is a perfect fit. If you do not have these skills, then this is a great opportunity to serve your community while developing your skills.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Mentor in the Student Success Class.
- Help students understand class material and with homework from other classes
- Build and maintain good relationships with students
- Motivate and encourage students to achieve their goals
- Attend regular team meetings
- Lead small group discussions
Qualifications:
- Be a strong team member
- Have college level academic skills in order to tutor effectively
- Commit 3-5 hours per week
- Commit to at least one high school semester
- Previous experience teaching or mentoring youth is not required, but a plus
- Spanish proficiency is not required, but a plus
